They were popular with a lot of touring before he tried his solo career in the early 90's. The drummer Norris Tucker introduced him to Trevin Jenkins.  With Trevan they formed Paradox in the early 90's. They toured night clubs until Trevin moved to London. Early 90’s saw the birth of Kwaito music. Sandy B's friends and some fans persuaded him to try Kwaito. He embracedthe idea since it was a style that was being introduced in SA by Joburg producers. Sandy B became the first Durban, KwaZulu Natal based artist to release a Kwaito album. He made a huge mark in the music industry and was given the title 'KZN Kwaito King' that did not go down well with him because he knew that Kwaito music was not what he was limited to. He has also been a columnist for Taxi News and News 24.
